Terms of Service

Last updated: February 4, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DeepZone application ("the app", "DeepZone") and the DeepZone website (deepzone.app). By downloading, installing, or using DeepZone, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Product Description

DeepZone is a macOS productivity application that blocks distracting websites and applications at the system level. It is designed for individuals who want to improve their focus and reduce digital distractions during work, study, or personal time.

DeepZone is a native macOS application developed independently. It is not affiliated with Apple Inc.

2. License

DeepZone is offered under two tiers:

Your Pro license is delivered as a license key via email after purchase. The license is personal and non-transferable.

3. Purchases & Payments

All purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy, our Merchant of Record. LemonSqueezy handles payment processing, VAT/sales tax collection, invoicing, and compliance. By making a purchase, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's Terms of Service.

Prices are displayed in USD and may be subject to local taxes (VAT, GST) which are calculated and collected by LemonSqueezy at checkout.

4. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with DeepZone. If you are not happy with your purchase:

5. System Requirements

6. How the App Works

DeepZone blocks websites by modifying local DNS resolution and system network settings on your Mac. It also blocks applications by monitoring running processes. All blocking is performed locally on your device — no traffic is routed through external servers.

DeepZone requires elevated permissions (administrator access) to configure system-level blocking. You grant these permissions during setup.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use DeepZone only for its intended purpose: personal productivity and focus management. You may not:

8. Updates

We may release updates to DeepZone from time to time to fix bugs, improve performance, or add features. Pro license holders receive all future updates at no additional cost. Updates are optional and you may continue using any version you have installed.

9. Intellectual Property

DeepZone, including its code, design, icons, and content, is the intellectual property of its developer. All rights are reserved. Your purchase grants you a license to use the software — it does not transfer ownership of the software itself.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

DeepZone is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all system configurations. Blocking effectiveness may vary depending on macOS version, browser, and network configuration.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeepZone and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the application, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of productivity, or system configuration changes.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the DeepZone Pro license.

12. Termination

You may stop using DeepZone at any time by uninstalling the application. We reserve the right to revoke a license key in cases of fraud, chargebacks, or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of DeepZone after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
